Hi Hanni and Beth!
Can’t wait to hear about your future adventures. BTW, where’s that picture of Hanni at the keyboard. Probably have to wait for Mike the photographer to get back from vacation, huh.
Talk to you later,
Danny
Thanks, Danny – it seems somehow appropriate that yu are the very first person to respond to my post — you taught me every dogblog trick I know!
That’d make a great picture!
Good luck on the tour!
Thanks for the good wishes. The “tour” unofficially started Wednesday – I talked to a book club about my first book, “long Time, No See” but I brought along an advanced copy of “Hanni and Beth: Safe & Sound” and everyone there was very interested!
In fact, gee…I think I’ll blog about that book club appearance. Better go put that post together now -
Hanni is the BEST! and now the Union League Club is right up there too. I’m glad your safe…..and sound. Your Almond Joy story reminded me of your pinto bean coffee. Yummy.
Ha! You’re right, Cheryl – next time I sit down with a bowl of dog food I’ll chase it with a cup of pinto bean coffee!
For those who haven’t read “Long time, No See” – in that book I talk about my first day home with Pandora, my first Seeing Eye dog. I was so wrapped up in caring for her while caring for our son Gus at the same time I got discombobulated. The coffee I made myself that morning didn’t help. I was worn out!
When Mike came home for lunch that day I was still in my pajamas. He didn’t say anything about that, but he did ask me what pinto beans were doing in the coffee grinder.
Reminds me of the time I gave my cats the dog’s food. The cats usually rouse me at 5:30 a.m. for breakfast. I often stumble downstairs and don’t bother to turn on the lights…just open the cabinet, reach for the container and scoop. That day I couldn’t understand why both cats came back to the bed and insisted I get up. Both canine and feline foods are in similar plastic containers and both contain the same size and similar shape kibble. I now make a point to double check the labels!!!
